Cercia welcomes Dr. Bahriye Basturk Akay and Mr Rustu Akay: 10-06-2011 – Cercia welcomes Dr. Bahriye Basturk Akay from Erciyes University, Turkey, as a visiting postdoctoral fellow for 12 months, working in evolutionary optimisation. Cercia also welcomes Mr. Rustu Akay from the same university as a visiting PhD student for 12 months, working in evolutionary optimisation.
Cercia researchers win IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks Outstanding 2009 Paper Award: 08-06-2011 – Cercia researchers, Huanhuan Chen, Peter Tino and Xin Yao won the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks Outstanding 2009 Paper Award (bestowed in 2011) for the following paper: H. Chen, P. Tino and X. Yao, “Probabilistic Classification Vector Machines,” IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, 20(6):901-914, June 2009.
